On-Disc Printing Template
STEP ONE: CREATING YOUR ON-DISC IMAGE
We will need your image to be in RGB format, 300 DPI. Our template is a PSD in two layers. Open the down loaded template in Adobe Photoshop. *The top layer is a mask, to show you the printable surface of the Compact Disc. *The bottom layer of the template is where you should put, place, paste or otherwise create your art. If the top layer of the template is blocking something in your art, then you need to move your art...it's just that simple. STEP TWO: BUILDING YOUR FILE FOR PRINT When you have your disc image the way you like it, follow these simple steps: 1.Right-click on the top mask layer and DELETE IT. 2.Go to the "File" Command and select "Save As" from the drop down menu. Save your image as a BITMAP. Windows format, default bit. No matter how many layers you have added in the process of creating your image, saving as a bitmap will flatten them down to one still image. Your finished file size will be about 5 or 6 megabytes. Use WINZIP to compress the bitmap file you created ...it should compress to around 1.5-2.5 megabytes... This Zip file is what you submit to us via email. |
